  1. White vinegar
  2. Castile soap, or similar natural liquid soap
  3. Spray bottle
  4. Soft, lint-free cloth
  5. Olive oil

With the above items, you will follow the steps below to achieve great results in the work that you are doing;

Fabric Upholstery

  1. Mix 1/4 cup white vinegar, 3/4 cup warm water and 1/2 tablespoon of natural liquid soap, such as Castile soap, in a spray bottle.
  2. Shake the bottle vigorously to uniformly mix the ingredients.
  3. Mist the soiled area lightly with the spray bottle. Scrub the area with a smooth bristle brush or cloth in a circular motion, working the cleanser into the nap of the fabric.
  4. Repeat step (3), until the soiled area becomes clean. Moisten your cloth with clean, warm water and repeat the scrubbing motion to remove excess soap.
  5. Blot the damp area with a dry portion of your cloth to speed drying

Leather Upholstery

  1. Measure 1/2 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup white vinegar into a spray bottle.
  2. Shake the bottle vigorously to uniformly mix the two ingredients.
  3. Spray the leather surfaces lightly.
  4. Rub with a soft cloth
  5. Repeat step (3) and (4) accordingly, to remove soil, fingerprints and oils from your family's skin. The vinegar will clean the surface and then evaporate.
  6. Buff the leather with a dry portion of your cloth until the olive oil has absorbed evenly into the leather, conditioning and softening it

Synthetic Upholstery

  1. Mix 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1 cup warm water in a spray bottle, for use on plastic, nylon and synthetic leather upholstery. In case the furniture is badly soiled, add 1/2 tablespoon of natural liquid soap
  2. Shake the spray bottle vigorously to uniformly mix the ingredients.
  3. Mist the soiled areas lightly but thoroughly.
  4. Scrub the soiled areas in a circular motion with a soft, lint-free cloth until the soil is removed.
  5. Repeat steps 3 – 4 if necessary.
